DVD player says no files on disc

Postby Dave Dee » Fri Oct 20, 2017 6:27 pm

Been using ConvertXtoDVD for many years (now version 6) with never a problem BUT NOW - despite following the same procedure as always - when I e.g.
convert 4 mp4 videos, burn them to a DVD & put it into a DVD player, instead of the four titles appearing on the TV screen I get the messages as shown below (2nd screen shot). This despite the fact that when I put the disc in the computer it shows there are in fact four files on the disc. (1st screen shot) :( Very frustrating and vexing so what does this anomaly suggest please? :o:mad: Thanks DaveD

Computer shows that there is indeed four folders on that DVD.
But - DVD player requires that on disc is either video_ts or audio_ts folder, and inside video_ts folder should be converted movie files.
Standard DVD player can not read normal filesystem.

Thanks jj ........been without computer after major crash, hence the delay in responding. Got new one now, what you write puzzles me as the left side screen shot shows files that I had converted using ConvertX so must be in the format you say is required??????

Yes, files are there but they are inside a folder.
DVD player checks only root of DVD for video_ts and / or audio_ts folders.
If there is neither one, it ignores the rest.

If you want to have more movies in one DVD then you need to convert them all at once, adding each movie as separate title in CxD.
This method can not keep original menus, you have only new menu with your added movies as titles.
