yes i did.. i made sure of that, i noticed also that i have a chrome remote desktop extension installed.. which i didn't install the same day at all. :( should i uninstall it? can anyone provide the application fro ma different source? i already have my key i just dont trust the one i downloaded from the site. not sure why this happened since im always updating the same way... what i also noticed was when i had the ConvertXtodvd5 was that i clicked the update to see if there was an update and there was not so i checked the site and to my surprise there was already a 6.0 so i immediately downloaded the latest version. im very observant to what i download so im pretty sure it wasnt a redirect or popup.. it was the actual site. anyways any help would be appreciated.

Hi

All those files are supposed to be there, you have nothing unexpected in there.
I'm an MS-MVP in Consumer Security and have been working with AV, Firewall and Anti-Malware developers since 1997 (short version), I think you have something that is monitoring your ports and injecting adware, or already have something that is causing false positives, like a BS AV product or malicious toolbar, so please let me ask you a few questions.

1) What Operating System are you using? Looks like Win10 but there are themes that can look like it so please confirm.
2) What Antivirus, AntiMalware, Firewall or ANY and ALL security products do you use and are they free or paid subscription products?
3) Have you had any other recent downloads that cause a positive response from your AV?
4) Could you please post the log from your security s'ware on the Trojans or re-download the VSO program from the "Official" link and post a screenshot of the AV positive detection log (with contaminated file names) please.
5) You said you have a toolbar that you don't remember installing, what

I may ask you to become a member at a well known Security Help web forum (BleepingComputer) so that we can have a closer look by recognized Experts if we need, are you OK with this?

Hi

Also noticed you have a program(s) called Smart PC Solutions installed, this is a known unwanted pc program that can create false positives in the Smart PC Cleaner and PC Smart Maximizer, generally known as ScareWare or RogueWare.
I think you're going to require some professional (FREE) help but we'll see.

Hi

I have checked the MD5 hash of the d'load from VSO servers on v6.0.0.27 and it checks out, d'load it again with Windows Defender DISABLED so it does not quarantine the "unins000.exe" file again and check the MD5 hash. The MD5 hash is - 93036626158007a16ca3b86f89df6552 - you can d'load a small free MD5 Hash Sum program called MD5 Summer here - http://www.md5summer.org/download.html
Please confirm that your d'load from VSO is clean using this program and hash and post the results here. I believe it's being seen as a false positive but just in case, I think we should do a more in-depth look at what might be causing your problem. Please join the BleepingComputer forums here - http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/
Go to the Security board and go into the "Virus, Trojan, Spyware, and Malware Removal Logs" thread. There you will find a Preparation Guide thread and follow the instructions in it in order to post a log for analysis.
NOTE - you will receive some grief for using Utorrent and if you have any Cracks or Keygens, this will be brought up. The expert who helps WILL still help with your computer, but only ONCE unless you remove all cracks and keygens...just an FYI.

Hi

You were correct, the "unins000.EXE" file is missing, it was quarantined by Win Defender. You also didn't have the .exe in your post so I originally thought you meant the .dat file, sorry.

Hi

It may also be that your Windows Defender definition files are not up to date, it has been reported by others that Defender was reporting files infected with the Trojan:Win32/Varpes.J!plock but once the definition files were updated, this detection stopped.
Pretty sure it's a false positive but still recommend you let an expert have a look over at BleepingComputer.

When downloading a newer version of CXtoDVD, the Chapters option under Default Settings are all checked. Since each offers a different choice, this seems like overkill.

I would like to see all the options unchecked so the user can decide which chapter options to use, if any.

Thanks

Hello,

I still don't understand while using the Cinema menu template why a deleted audio track is playing during the menu preview?

If the file has two audio track, say Japanese and English, and I delete the English audio stream why is it still being used in the preview.

I have checked the box to use the Japanese stream as the default playback.

If there is some way around this issue please let me know.

Thanks

Hello. I ran a conversion on the lastest version using all 3 settings (LP, MP, SP). MP and SP results were pretty much the same output size.
(Auto) MP was 4.12 GB
SP was 4.09 GB
LP was 1.64 GB
In previous versions that I've used, the MP & SP results were the exact same file size, but in the latest version the SP is slightly smaller than MP.
I was just curious as to why MP & SP would result with the same output sizes. There should be a clear difference between all 3 (LP, MP and SP). I think this has been happening since the encoder settings were altered back from version 5.
Feedback appreciated.
