Will Not Publish

I have tried to create a new web photo album. Everything works as expected until I hit the publish button. The Purplish box appears with the file animation and the top line reads that it is starting to publish. Then nothing. The animation continues but nothing is uploaded to the site. I have let it run as long as 7 hours and when I returned, still nothing. I have been able to upload in the past but even then I had troubles. But now, nothing. Is there a way I can fix this? Hope so as I do like the system.

have you check your firewall/antivirus?
