What is an Exif?
EXIF (exchangeable image file) data is the information stored with your picture of what settings were used during at the moment the picture was taken. Such information includes camera name and model, time date of shoot, lens, focal length, flash used, among other information. The exif date recorded will vary from camera to camera.
Example of exif meta data
Once the photo is taken, and pictures are imported to computer the exif information can be viewed and also edited (information generally added, not removed).
How to read exif meta data?
The exif information of your photos can be viewed with different tools and software including your Windows operating system (right click on any given digital picture and select properties, and click on the tab "Details" .
