hey
i have a few old weddings on vhs and some old TV recordings. . i want to put them on DVD. can any one recommend the best way to do this!?
what software/format would be best ?
if i can get the vhs recorded to pc would what settings/filters in convert x would be best suited for the conversion?

There are numerous gadgets and hardware to do this.
Check shops close to you or order online, usually you can get box that connects your VHS to PC for less than $40.
Transfer videos to computer, then convert with CxD.

i can capture my vcr video to PC in mpeg2 format so what would best settings in convert x be to use? also do you know of any software that would clean up the video a bit before i convert? (ie reduce noise, fix color a bit ect)

Best settings to capture is using FullD1 capture size, and FPS matching to your TV FPS. (NTSC or PAL)
Lot of software that can filter or do other editing, VirtualDub being free one.
