Sub-titles

I am having trouble with sub-titles. The sub-titles will be on the screen even though the sub-title option is turned off. This happens about half way through the movie. What do I do about this?

Do you see the subtitles in the advanced editor when you play the video?

Do you see a subtitle stream listed under the video stream? If so uncheck it.
If not then maybe the subtitles are hardcoded into the video.
