Final Version of V2???

With V3 coming up, when will a final version that is not beta (and free of bugs/issues) for version 2 be completed?

Menu Music and Menu Duration

Is there a way to have the program automatically make the length of the menu equal to the length of the menu music loaded? At present, you need to: 1. Load music 2. State the duration of the music. 3. Then type the duration into the loop section of the menu duration. It would be nice to get rid of s...

Smart Copy Question on Warning

I am curious why the Smart Copy option says "Try to copy even if source is a single file (less compatible)" Just because it is a single file does not make it less compatible, as you are just remuxing. The warning should be on file format/encoding parameters used. This may sound pedantic, b...

Uneeded Warnings

ConvertXtoHD has a warning on the video encoding page (see attached). It notes that some frame rates are not compatible. This warning has never been accurate. 25p is permitted under the bluray standard at 1920 or 1440 x 1080, 50p is permitted at 1280x720 and 60p is also permitted at 1280x720. With s...

Access Violation Bug

I have a short series of videos...if I expand the main titles as shown in the attachment, you can see that Root Menu Parameter, Chapter Menu Parameters and Settings Menu Parameters are greyed out. These are very short clips and the grey out is ok. But if I double-click any of the grey outs I get an ...

Feature Request

Can we get the ability to add custom text to the menu page? I can do in an external photo editor and import as a custom background, but this can be a pain.

Or am I missing something?

Re: Why Does ConvertXtoHD Reencode?

Load two video assets into project
Make sure you have the new smart copy enabled
Create menu, customize, etc
Save project
Now delete one video asset from project
Click edit menu, error occurs over and over

Re: Why Does ConvertXtoHD Reencode?

Gave a first try with two video assets. I made a custom menu, and all looked good. But then I thought just test on one video asset for speed. So I deleted the asset and then went into the "Edit Menu" option to change my menu and the program crashed. Attached is the error. One cannot edit t...

Re: Why Does ConvertXtoHD Reencode?

Claire, Keep everything the same (editing the menus, etc), just permit the option in Convertx2HD to not encode video assets. Again, if one already has bluray compatible video assets, why encode them again? According to your product description for convertx2HD: Make Blu-ray and AVCHD disks with your ...

Re: Why Does ConvertXtoHD Reencode?

This feature is called Smart Rendering. I remember it being a feature of the Ulead MediaStudio Pro. You had a choice to use Smart Rendering when compatible. Using Smat Rendering will only render the edited trasitions and effects, thus leaving the movie in it's original compression. And also reducin...

Re: Why Does ConvertXtoHD Reencode?

why would you want to do this, replace the blu-ray original menu? Suppose I have already encoded by assets to be Bluray compatible. I do not want them to be encoded again and have lesser quality. It could also be that the user has a better encoder as well. ConvertXtoHD could then be the authoring p...

Re: Why Does ConvertXtoHD Reencode?

It always reencodes...not sure why they don't implement an advanced features where you could specify a direct stream copy. They could even have a pop-up box come up and say "You need to ensure Bluray compatibility on your own" or something to that effect. Compliant files should be left alo...

Why force deinterlace? Use FFMPEG right + others

FFMPEG (and x264 at its core for bluray) can easily handle interlaced video. The latest version of convertx2hd is deinterlacing 1080i files when it doesn't need to. Can you please fix so that TFF is sent to FFMPEG with forced interlacing for interlaced sources. This will make MBAFF encoding for inte...

Why Does ConvertXtoHD Reencode?

I have rediscovered this program since V2 came out...very nice. But I have Bluray verified encodes from 3 different encoders (MeGUI x264, Adobe Media Encoder and Main Concept). These are all 100% bluray compatible files, including MBAFF for interlaced files. Why does convertxtoHD insist on reencodin...

BluRay Output or AVCHD

I have a Canon VIXIA HF G10 that records AVCHD at 1920x1080 at 60i (media info reports 29.97).

Since it is AVCHD to begin with, I suspect my output option should always be AVHCD to avoid too much quality loss right? I tried blu-ray output but it seems a bit jerky to me.
