I get the same issue with .ISO's as JimmyFoo above me... I can mount them virtually and then use the 'disc' method, but the .ISO method would be nicer. [The .ISO method does work for me in the Blu-Ray version of this program.]

So, I've converted a bunch of BR's using the XBOX setting, max quality. The resultant MOV files do list as having 6ch audio and do play that way on a PC. However, since the audio gets re-encoded as AAC instead of AC3, the XBOX 360 (as Media Center Extender) will downconvert the audio to 2ch. Obvious...

Have you watched this movie in it's native format before converting it?

Two things are particular to this movie:
(1) 300 has a LOT of "grit" in the original video
(2) That 'grit' is difficult for compression algo's to handle
