PhotoDVD 3

Postby 2senior » Thu Jul 02, 2009 7:50 pm

I have been using the program for over a year. Just upgraded to version 3. Can't seem to make preview work correctly. It opens but hangs. Does not want to close either. I get the following message: Access violation at address 00ya3fd3 in module photoplayer.exe Read of address 00000008.
Anybody else having problems or know what this means?

I am using Windows XP SP3 with all patches to date and Photo DVD
Just loaded no error message but only 2 pictures showed in preview out of 40. Time stamp on player jumped as follows 6:02, 26:39, 37:66, 43:48, 59:63. Screen stays black. X close box works now. This particular slide show works in Photo DVD 2

Hi 2senior,

I did a fast preview with latest version (88c) with a maximum of processor load (Using Lanczos filters) . My PC is a P4 3.0 GHz HT (nov. 2003), 1.5 Gb ram, XP PRO SP3 up to date.

What i could see when looking at the timer in the Photo player while Fast preview, during the showing of the transition it "stutters" (couple of 100 ms jumps), but as soon the image is there, it continues smootly.

What is your PC / processor specification?

Could you do a clean install of latest version and try again?
Just to be sure nothing has been left behind of older V3 versions.

What do you see(result) when you play the compiled project (VIDEO_TS.IFO)?
