Do you need to : resize your pictures ?
Convert them in another format ?
Add a border or a watermark to your photos ?
Resize a whole batch of photos.
With the freeware VSO Image Resizer, you can!
First, you need to download and install VSO Image Resizer
Do a right click on the picture you wish to resize (or on a folder to do a batch resizing of all pictures inside). In the menu that opens, choose “VSO Image Resizer”
The program opens:
Screen 1
To resize your images ,select a resolution in “Profile” or enter it manually in “Resolution”. For instance if you wish to send pictures by email, we suggest a resolution of 800x600.
Then in “Action” chose if you want to create copies, resize the original picture or move the image, and indicate in “Destination“ the place where you want your resized picture to be saved.
Resizing pictures is as simple as that!
But there’s more to the program. Click on “More…” to discover Image Resizer ‘ full menu:

In the tab “General” you will find more features, like:

Quality (4): only available if you are converting your images to Jpeg or “as original”. We advise to leave the quality ratio at 90% by default.
and Filename Mask (5): option to rename the output format according to a format. The list of available masks appear when you click on the question mark icon.
In the “Effects” tab, you will be able to integrate a watermark in your pictures, turn them to greyscale or in black and white or add a border to your images.
Under the last tab, “Misc”, you will find more options for pro users.
If you wish to customize the software , click on “Settings” at the bottom.
Let’s now have a look at all the options offered to display the picture :
