[Closed] HARDWARE ERROR

Can someone please help me decipher two hard ware codes [04 09 90] and [04 03 00] are these errors indicating a bad disc drive or a bad DVDR (the burn medium}. I tried to burn a disc on two occasions unsuccessfully each one giving a different error code. On the first occasion the burner initialized but had not begun to burn. I just reinserted the disc and started over. This time the burn began and then ejected giving the second error code above. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. On the previous day I got a similar error code saying it was a hardware error though I did not write down the specific code thinking it was simply a dvdr error or bad dvdr. When I got two more errors on the following day, I decided to come to the forum and seek assistance. I have been using VSO software for a year or so now.

If you're getting different errors each time, it might indicate a hardware issue.

Please post the log, so we can see what's going on. See Help > Open Log File...

Following the last post, the problem stopped and I have not had much of any error messages since until recently when the burn process stopped completely. Can you analyze this logfile and tell me if there is any advice you can offer?
