This just started, when convertxtodvd 3 is opened it has



I have uninstalled and re-installed but same error

I have versions 2 and 4 installed but they run fine

Installed a different version and it runs

Checked the folder from the different version and it has 21 files against 20 for the version which did not run.

It is swscale.dll, no idea why it won't install with the later version

Why are you installing old software and different versions?
There has been a lot of bugfixes to later versions, sometimes that requires removal of some files.

Do clean install of your OS, then install latest version of software.

I use version 4 to convert files and if they come out at less than 2GB, I use version 3 to put two onto a disc as it seems to fill the disc, whereas version 4 reduces the file size further.

This happened after the latest windows updates, maybe if it is installed and the missing file added to the programme file folder it will work for the latest version of 3

Version 3 installed on another machine which has not had the latest windows updates and it runs fine

Version 3 is so old that most likely it will not work properly after all updates in some systems.
But to combine ... well, just use v4 to convert. If result is lower that what you want, add second file and convert again.
