Hello acamposxp,

Yes, this feature will allow to create a custom profile from a movie file.
I will work on this feature soon, will be available on next beta version (2.1.0.2)

I am trying to install 2.1.0.5

Installation works without problem but asks for a key.

My key will not work. Sometimes I am told it is invalid - other times I am told that the key is for an old version.

I follow the steps to get an UPGRADED key but the key that arrives is the same as the OLD key.

Stuck in TRIAL version

Hello VSO family.

I recently installed the latest beta version of DVD Converter 2 and have a few things to say about what I've noticed so far. I've constructed a list of both what I'd like to see in a later version and bugs I've encountered.

Here's a list of my suggestions:
- Display the overall conversion percentage in program's title when converting, similar to what ConvertXtoDVD 4 had. I don't think this is a big issue, but I'm used to seeing the overall conversion's percentage in the title. An easy way for me to see the total progression without having to maximize the window if I minimize it.
- Display the conversion's elapsed time during and after the conversion.
- Change "," to ".", ei. "20,96%" to "20.96%". Again, I don't think this is a big issue. Maybe a grammatical error?
- Ability to change the conversion priority during the conversion.
- Ability to minimize to tray.

Here's a list of the bugs I've encountered:
- When conversion has started, the Aero icon in the taskbar shows the total conversion process is at approximately 99% when it reaches 50% with the 2-pass option checked.

Please correct me if I've mentioned some functions that are already applied.

Thanks for reading and considering.

Copnm: one thing that VSO can not change;
- Change "," to ".", ei. "20,96%" to "20.96%". Again, I don't think this is a big issue. Maybe a grammatical error?
Decimal point/comma is provided by OS and it selects it according to your system locale settings.

Thanks for the reply, JJ.

If my system's locale is English (United States), wouldn't it be a decimal instead of a comma?

Not necessarily, it can be set from locale settings.
Go to Control Panel - Clock Language and Region - Region and Language - Additional settings to check what you have there.

Same here I'm in Australia and it uses French convention - not the system setting.

Windows 8 does not like this version - will not install?

Stupid me hasn't been keeping my saved install files up-to-date. I have managed to find the installation file for 2.1.1.16 and it works.

Is there a link for 2.1.1.17 - I can't find it? I will test it if I have it.

Error when closing with win7 64bit is:

Exception EFCreateError in module DVDConverterUltimate.exe at 000695BA.
Cannot create file "c:\test\test_dislogs". Specified path does not exist.

if c:\test exists then no problem exiting. But there should not be such folder, and there is no reason for program to create it so it is most likely debugging left-over.

Okay let me uninstall the whole program and reinstall. Thats should delete any such debugging folder. Uninstalling and reinstalling did not work and that is the exact error code. Is there something else I could try. Where should C/test be?

c:\test does not exist, however I have no problems with the release versions. How can I fix this?

You should not do anything, VSO has to fix this.
Workaround now is to create folder "test" in drive c: root.
