i recall that after choosing my resize settings for a batch of pics, the program would ask me if i wanted to keep those settings as my default for next time. i am no longer seeing the dialogue for this prompt. do i need enable it on somewhere? i found it to be an extremely useful little feature.

but it only seems to remember a few settings, not all. it does not appear to be remembering my settings for 'filtering', 'quality', 'policy', 'keep original file date'

The behavior has been "simplified". Now it does remember the selected profile, action, and destination.
If you changed some option that's part of the profile (everything within the top box), you need to save the profile.
