Just re-installed to make sure, but when you add a folder, nothing shows unless you click refresh, then if you click add a file (to fill the disc) it only works sometimes, though you can drag them across if you open the folder in the right panel

Added MP3 320K files but it burned them with the output at 128K

Is there a way to keep the audio bit rate the same, or set it to output at 320K

Thanks for pointing me to the quality setting, when the window opens at the standard size it is partly hidden on mine

Will they do anything about nothing showing after a folder is added, unless refresh is used?

While I am at it then

It does not save any changes in settings, even if you click apply, it does not save anything.

When you tick play sounds, there are none to choose from, other VSO Programmes have the sounds pre-loaded if you choose to use them.

If you click add a file it does, but when you click to add another one, nothing happens, unless you already noted that

Hi Keith,

Thanks for reporting all of these. I suggest waiting to use the next version that should fix all of this.

If you selected a file in the shell menu, he always asks which folder to open it while the files are often not in a folder

Hi, it doesn't seem to work much with WinXP (SP3)

It loads, but doesn't burn an ISO, saying it needs Vista or higher.

attached is the error window that opened for all, or at least most disk create options.

Is it meant for XP, or must it have Vista, minimum?

It does have a nice look though, now if it would only work!

Most programs work with any current OS, some support older ones.
Rarely any program supports really old OS, and sadly XP is too old.
Now all new programs require Vista or newer, and most likely in year or two all require Win7 or newer.

This is simply due all those changes in windows basics. Supporting older OS would require huge amount of programming.

Hard to believe they'd drop support for XP in the v5, even so, It still works with XP for the v4.3.1.12, as shown in the JPG capture of VSO's own webpage, requirements for it... so thats another matter involving the access violation I'm having with it.

I'm wondering if the fault could be, the program is still trying to access the "C" drive, for putting the "TEMP" file on, even though I've changed this in the settings section, to manually put it to a larger capacity drive. I noticed this in the logs when looking at it just before.

I had it going to a "D" drive with over 400 GB on it, instead it still shows the temp file is set to go to the standard "C" default section, with just 2 GB on it.

Look at the LOG file in the other thread about it.

Claire asked the developer if CopyTo 5 will be compatible with Windows XP, and has confirmed it will be.

Good to hear, i hope it all works by the full release.

I'm guessing you have Vista, or higher OS ?
As it is now, in beta(or Alpha), the code hasn't yet been adjusted for XP.

Claire wrote:Cedric the developer confirmed that CopyTo 5 will be compatible with XP, we just need to change the dialogue box.

The "C" drive on my system has just around 2 GB left, while the manually entered "D:/temp" has over 400 GB.

The settings don't seem to save the change I entered for this option. Could this be the problem, all this time?

are you saying you cannot change the path file? It is not saved?

Hello Claire,

Any idea on the release date for the new CopyTo 5 ...?

The original time frame you mentioned, in an earlier post, has past, ... that it would be ready in two or three weeks.

My purchased latest version 4 still has those access errors and I can't use the program.

Thank you for whatever support you can give.

Hello,

I wish I could bring you some good news, but I don't have any on the subject of CopyToDVD.

Maybe a new version could be available in 1 month. I really do not have an idea, but probably not in the next 2 weeks.
