Hello,

I am a long time user of VSO software. I've recently reformatted my machine and re-installed copyto5_setup-avangate_588.exe. It appears that Copyto Starter is not associating to any of the program elements and nothing will start from the interface. Copyto Manager is working fine but I am curious if anyone knows of this behaviour and what may work to re associate the various burn options?

System is recently reformatted.
Windows 7 Ultimate Service Pack 1
Intel Processor X980 @ 3.33 GHz
24 GB RAM
64 Bit OS

Licenced copy of CopyTo

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Clicking on any icon in the Starter does nothing?

We are not aware of this problem.

Are you using version 5.1.0.6?

Well, I was gone one week came back to try the software and it appears now to be opening to the various burning interfaces :?:

It was a strange issue. Thanks for taking the time to respond and hopefully the behaviour will not replicate.

I have the same problem today. I installed 5106 on Windows 7 64 bit and when I would choose an option from the starter, nothing would happen. I just uninstalled it. Maybe I should have left for a week and came back to see if it works. I also restarted the computer before I uninstalled it to see if that made a difference, but nada.

Anyone who has this problem if you go into your task manager under the processes tab, do you see an application with a name and within that name there is the word "manager"?

If you close that app. And now try and launch something from CopyTo starter does the Manager open?


If so, then a fix will be coming soon.

I have Gateway Laptop with Windows 7 Home Prem 64 bit. In the task Manager there is:
LManager.exe *32 under description it is called Launch Manager...the location of this file is: C\Program Files (x86)\Launch Manager
This file was on the computer when I bought it.
I ended this process. Then I clicked on CopyToStarter and it opened. I clicked on Create a Data Disk and it closed the starter window and opened the CopyToManager window to see what I have been used to seeing for 5 years now...yeeeaaaah

You solved the problem! looking forward to the fix.
*FYI:
lmanager.exe is a Launch Manager belonging to Acer Launch Manager from Dritek System Inc. The process is loaded during the Windows boot process.
The program called LManager.exe is related to the programs required to allow multimedia keys on Acer multimedia keyboards to function correctly. If you stop this process all of the 'normal' keys on the keyboard should still function, but the multimedia keys will not.

I Think, you got the bug. In my taskmanager was a programme "ambx event manager". After closing this programme, I startet CopyTo Startet and then chosed an option. The Programm did open!
