ConvertXtoDVD Transcoder Stops Working

Postby Typhoon859 » Tue Nov 11, 2008 11:11 pm

Ok, so, I now have the ConvertXtoDVD 3.2.0.50 version and every time I close the program, I get an error message saying that the ConvertXtoDVD Transcoder has stopped working. Anyone know what the issue might pertain to? Thanks in advance.

Lol, typical answer. So you're telling me that this version isn't functional?... That's ok. I actually didn't expect a real answer. No way to really figure out what the problem is. Thanks for responding at least.

Hi,

If someone is NOT using the last public version, maybe there issue has been fixed already.

If you are NOT using the latest version, the developpers are already several version ahead of that, so the only way to fix it, is to see if the latest version still has an issue, then the developpers can fix it, in the next release.

This is why we ask everyone to test there issue with the latest versions 1st.

Hi all,

V55 and older are written in ANSI-UTF-8
V77 and newer are written in UNICODE-UTF-16.

It looks like they bite each other.
Installing the latest (V81) over the old (V55 or older) gave me all kind of strange things.
Remove ALL old versions(V55 and older) using cleanvso, do a reboot of PC and do a new install of V81.
Having an additional older V3.x.x.x version in a different directory is also forbidden.
(Some common installed files overwritten with diff. code from old or new???)

I have now only one(1) V3.x.x.x version on my system and it works fine.
(except for the reported bugs)

The reason the various new versions are released is because of bugs being fixed. Nobody is going to troubleshoot an older version when a new version is available to test with first to see if your issue has been resolved in the latest version. It the problem still appears with the latest version, then they will try to find out why you are having a problem, and they will do so by analysing the latest version.

Where can we find cleanvso ?

And perhaps the most important question ?
Will using cleanVSO also wipe away my great working version 2.x ????

Hi,

You can find CleanVSO here:

http://forums.vso-software.fr/tool-to-c ... t3918.html

Just select ConvertXtoDVD 3 & [X] Settings and it should not touch your v2.
