Having an issue with incorrect fps in new ver.

Movie is MYBLOODYVALENTINE_2D BluRay R1 ripped to ISO with AnyDVD 6.5.5.2, mounted with DAEMON Tools Lite 4.30.4

I pulled the audio and video from the main movie out with RipBot264 v1.13.3, then pointed ConvertXtoDVD to the video.mkv and audio.1.dts from RipBot264.

When I play the video.mkv with Media Player Classic, it's telling me that the file is 23.98fps which it should be.
ConvertXtoDVD Version : 3.5.3.139 is showing the file as 23.98 but Version : 3.6.3.156 is showing it as 24.00fps.
The DVD from 3.5.3.139 plays fine... I haven't finish the movie with 3.6.3.156

OS is Win XP Pro SP3 32-bit

From Media Player Classic:
Video: MPEG4 Video (H264) 1920x1080 23.98fps [Video]

From ConvertXtoDVD Version : 3.5.3.139:
VIDEO Stream #1 : Video: h264, yuv420p, 1920x1080 [PAR 1:1 DAR 16:9], 23.98 FPS
Output Stream #1 (VIDEO) - mpeg2video, yuv420p, 720x480 [PAR 32:27 DAR 16:9], q=1-31, pass 1, 5575 kb/s, pulldown: 23.976 -> 29.97 Fps

From ConvertXtoDVD Version : 3.6.3.156:
VIDEO Stream #1 : Video: h264, yuv420p, 1920x1080 [PAR 1:1 DAR 16:9], 24.00 FPS
Output Stream #1 (VIDEO) - mpeg2video, yuv420p, 720x480 [PAR 32:27 DAR 16:9], q=1-31, pass 1, 5561 kb/s, pulldown: 24.000 -> 29.97 Fps

Edit:
Version : 3.6.3.156 plays but with some shutter and does have some noticeable quality loss.

Now I am sending you log file.
With the version ConvertxtoDVD 3.5.2.137 all was OK, but with this beta version, the result is not OK. The result are diapositives, not the moving pictures. Sound is OK.

The bad framerate detection is due to bug #2705 (wrong detection of file header info). The unusually large number of frames duplicated and dropped is probably due to bug #1951 (wrong detection of pulldown in DVD files including mpeg-2).

Bug #1951 is a remnant of #1816 and 1816 is a restatement of a similar report of an even earlier one that was deleted for some reason.

VSO does not seem to put as much importance on compatibility with DVD compliant files as it does on some file formats that a limited number of users have need of like a specific digi vid cam format.

Now I'm sending you the log file of working version. But I thing so, that it will be the best solution that I'll sent you the complete DVD by a snail mail. Please send me the complete adress.

Hello,
I installed 3.6.4 over my previous version of 3.5.2. I don't see swscale.dll in the convertxtodvd folder? I only see the file "vsoscaler.dll?"

as detailed in the history file, that's just a suggestion to delete or rename swscale.dll and vsoscaler.dll to be sure to use the new scaler. if you don't have them, that's fine and normal and default behaviour now.

FishMan, if you have a direct messaging account ( Windows Live Messager, Skype etc.. ) please contact me in private and I will pass you internal version to narrow down the issue. ( from the screenshot, I don't really see one )

I can contact you when I am home... away on work travel for about a week... work PC no like IM's.

The photobucket pics are converted to jpeg and are not as detailed as the original bmp pic's. Ver 3.6.3.156 and 3.6.4.158 are the same quality wise but 3.6.4.158 looks a bit darker. Maybe me?!? But both are not as good as 3.5.3.139.

These are just snapshots of I frames and don't tell the whole story. All of the new 3.6.### I have tried don't look as detailed as Ver 3.5.3.139 when viewing and don't recognize the input files frame rate correctly (See my 1st post) and this seems to cause the output movie to shudder. I have not yet burn a movie from any of the new ver to disc and played them in a standalone player to see if they shudder there. Only viewed the outputs on my PC.

Hope this helps in some way.
