I have been using this program for all my DVD burning. As of Friday I started getting burn write errors. First I completely uninstalled ConvertX using the tool and then upgraded to the newest version. That didn't help. Second, I uninstalled and reinstalled my DVD player. That didn't help. I currently use Verbatim DVD-R 4.7GB, 16x, 120 min DVD's and always have. Any help is appreciated. Here is my latest log:

I wanted to add that I did burn a music CD to see if it would work and it did. Funny enough, my CDs are Memorex brand. Wasn't sure if this information would be pertinent to a helper. Thanks and happy holidays!

sounds a little like your writer may be at fault, if you have been burning ok up till friday, and always use same media.......it points to a writer fault maybe?

While I kinda agree, why can I still burn CDs just not DVDs?

you use.....ATAPI DVD A DH16A1L KH1A [E] ...I CHECKED AS FEW forums, and noticed this drive came up a lot, and mostly problematic. can write cd's but not dvd's, its seems there could be a laser problem.....if you can, try another writer........or maybe uninstall-reinstall writer driver, see if it helps

I completely uninstalled and then reinstalled and that still isn't helping. I think I might buy and install a new DVD writer. Thanks for the help. If anyone has any other suggestions, I will still check back.

another member had similar prob, changed dvd's from verbs to memorex and worked ok
