Blu-Ray to DVD - Templates - 2.1.14 vs 1.4.0.8

I just upgraded from Blu-Ray to DVD version 1.4.0.8 to Blu-Ray to DVD Ultimate version 2.1.1.14. To my surprise I found that any templates I created in version 1.4.0.8 will not work in version 2.1.1.14. Standard templates supplied with version 1.4.0.8 will not work in version 2.1.1.14 as well.

Is this a bug?

If not a bug, is there a simple way to translate templates in version 1.4.0.8 to 2.1.1.14?
