Don't look for the name on the package/disc.
Look for the Media ID.

Get yourself better media.
READ in the log what you use.

Hey all just looking for some advice on a little problem im having, with my current version of CX3 it will convert no problem but when i go to burn to dvd no can do keep getting errors. With my burner in my laptop i can still play and watch dvds and play music but CX3 WONT BURN FOR ME.

Hi JimBobStones,
- Try to burn the conversion with Imgburn (freeware) to see if nothing wrong is with your burner.
It gives a HardWare error.

| I have always problemas trying to burn with verbatim.Kodak is a great one as I don't get any error. Why is that I can't burn with verbatim if is sooo good? |

Please provide us your burning log.
Maybe you burner needs a firmware upgrade...

If somebody uses DVD-R discs all the time and suddenly changes this “habit” , is there any possibility to cause problem?
I’m asking you so, because I burned several DVD’s typed +R (after a long period of burning DVD–R) and now, I’m trying to burn a –R , unsuccessfully though.  |

x2 DVD-R is the best maxwell the best too
i stop using memerox 2 weeks ago. i have a memorex dvd external dvd drive ,but i only had for a month and it's giving me problems.cd drive dirty
(from my memorex's dvd-r's @ x2 ,x4 no problem) when i started using
maxwell @ x2 i have no problem @ all |

First, you should post your problem by starting a new thread, not by posting it in a sticky.
Second, you obviously haven't read the sticky properly, because if you had you wouldn't (a) be using crap discs, and (b) trying to burn them at the speed that you're trying to burn.
Please read the first posts in this sticky and, after following the instructions provided, if the problem still persists then report your issue in a new thread.

| used convertxtodvd 4 a long time now with no probs but few weeks ago convertion said complete but when put disc in dvd player there was nothing on disc and it started to format can any one help doing my head in |

You should read before posting.

Have read through all the great tips on this thread, but I am still having issues, I have trouble with burning 3 hrs of video,ie 6 30 min episodes of TV series and the playback is fine untill normally the last Episode but sometimes by Episode 5, I have bought a new burner tried different discs,I burn at all speeds now as low as 2 but yet I still have these playback issues, which are out of sync and freezing, it is so annoying.
I bought the latest Version of Convert X to DVD today and still having the issues so think it`s time I asked for help!
I do not think there is anything on the tips I have not tried so I wonder if there is anything else I can try.

You obviously haven't read this thread very well. I told another poster (in this thread) that if you have issues you should start another thread in the forum with your specific issue and NOT post the issue in a sticky.
I also told that poster (in this thread) to read the Announcement Sticky (#1) at the top of this forum, the one that says to read it before posting. By the time you get through the 6th point in that sticky you should be in a position to help us to help you.

Please just follow forum decorum and post issues in their own thread. And read as advised by the forum and follow the instructions provided. Insulting language won't solve your issue.

i am new to this, but i just wanted to know... i burned a dvd with convertxtodvd 3 and it only plays audio and no video on the tv, its not the player because it plays other dvd's fine. is there a setting i have to change for my tv? help please?!?!!!
they are panasonic both the tv and dvd player
ive used another program and it played video bvut the audio was out of sync. |
