Just to make it absolutly clear about the menu template pictures I have uploaded further up. I just wanted to show that it is easy to produce someting when you have the tools for the job.
ConvertX has not been designed to allow the editing of templates at will and it would take an effort to modify what already exists, if it would be at all possible. |

I think this could be done by using the Root Menu for the info page. I would have to add selection buttons to access the Chapter Menu and Settings Menu from there. The only problem I can see being is with the image for the movie having to be resized corectly so as not to be distrorted after converting for NTSC DVD. With ConvertXtoDVD, when there is a function that shows an image in one of the menu pages, if the image doesn't have the same aspect ratio, it will look stretched or squeezed. I'm also not sure about how much text can be placed in a text area. I'll have to do some tests to find out. But I think it could be done. I'll mess with it and see what I can do with it.

I have downloaded the black mirror (6LCT NCN) templates and like the increase from 12 seconds to 20 seconds but I have a song that is 1:01 that I would like to hear all of, is there one I can download that has that length of time or greater for the audio length?, I only add 1 background and 1 movie to each dvd and like to have audio like a soundtrack.. (30 sec-1min)
Is there one that has an infinite time setting and then loops to the start when it finishes? that would be ideal :}"

Sorry I can't make custom mods because the requests for different variations could be endless, but it is fairly easy to do yourself.
Read the guide about changing menu duration in the Guides + Manuals forum. You probably only want to change the duration of the main segment and you can do it for title, root, chapters or settings menu pages.
Note that the menus are actually videos generated/rendered by CX2D so don't make the duration very large. It takes time to render and eats up space on the DVD.
There are ways you can adjust duration and/or modify your audio file so it plays more smoothly in the menu. Try a search at http://forums.vso-software.fr/search.php using fadein as the keyword and ckhouston as the author for some ideas.

Thank you for your advice ckhouston, I was considering using some software to make/edit menu templates, might you suggest one that works well with convertxtodvd?
I noticed that there are several premade ones available for download, could you tell me which one has the longest preset audio length for background audio title menu?
I have read that the ability to control audio length in the background audio title menu will be available in future versions, any news about that?

You must not have read the stuff I recommended.
Open the INI file in Notepad, search for main_duration, change it to whatever you want and save in UTF-8 format.

I altered the main duration to 61 (1min & 1 sec), the full length of my soundtrack song. Thank you for your help :}"
From what I have been reading it seems many would appreciate more at your finger tips control over backgrounds and audio, do you think it is soon to come in newer versions?
Does anyone know of a menu editing software that works well with convertxtodvd?

ConvertX is an integrated convertion and authoring software and therefore it is not possible to use any menu editor unless it is dedicated to it.

Even VSO has trouble predicting when something will be added, I wouldn't hold my breath while waiting for those features though. You might as well go ahead and learn how to do template mods if you want them.

I have a 13 second song track that I have added to a title menu background audio and have noticed a "beep" sort of sound at the end prior to the start of the song the second time around. How would I go about removing or covering that sound?
