| The color of the background doesn't matter. I used pure black for the shadow with a video background and it does it. But I'm able to use pure black for the highlight color without any problems. Go figure..

What do you mean by highlight color? Text has background, outline, shadow or text colors.
The behavior for black colors has been reported in bug #2702 - http://bugs.vso-software.fr/view.php?id=2702

The Highlight color is when your mouse is over a button and it changes color. That probably isn't the correct name of it but that's what I call it..

Probably as good a name as any, I have used it but I think selection or selected state is more accurate.
I just wanted to be sure what you were talking about.

A while ago I asked if someone could create a certain menu template, that I had seen and thought was really neat. People keep telling me it can't be done. Well there are some very talented people posting some really nice template mods on the forums.
so I am going to ask one of them or alll of them to go to goole and for this bit torrent. DDT Pegasus Multi 170.torrent Download it and look at the great menu template.
Try to reproduce the way it works and looks.

| Instead of asking people to download the whole torrent, which is like 4.19GB, why don't you just upload a portion of the DVD content and give us download link? Zip the VIDEO_TS.IFO, VIDEO_TS.VOB, VTS_01_0.IFO, VTS_01_0.VOB. At least this is less than 50MB. You have to do some work if you want somesone to help out.

| I think torrents totally blow and are the worse idea that ever hit the internet. You'll never see me doing what he just asked. But I'm curious to see what it looks like. Why don't you post some screenshots or do what toaddub said to do?

When I change text color of "play" text, for ejample, for white, when I select Play, selection shows like in the screenshot (a rectangle in light green as in classic menu)

Are you saying your problem happens when the background you use is pure white behind those buttons, Play for example, in your screenshot?
You may have found the source of the problem with text colors also if that is true. The program does give special treatment to both pure black and pure white.
Please substitute a near white for it, say RGB = 254,255,255 and let us know what happens. |

| Sorry, I can't reproduce your result. Are you sure you didn't select pure black for the text outline or shadow when using pure white for the text, that would explain your result?

It's possible ckhouston, now that I think about it. I'll do tests to see if the problem is the combination of colours.

If a template that is offered here for use within ConvertXtoDVD is from a different progam or from another source, it still needs to be Converted to work within ConvertXtoDVD and takes quite a bit of time to do. The Colors menu template I just did took me 3 days to perfect because it was done with all text. Getting everything to look proper is not easy because of the way VSO figures the sizes of text and the way they express colors. I had to do a lot testing to get it to look right. So I'm wondering what you're trying to say knopiczka? Would you mind explaing what you're trying to point out about our templates please? I'd like to know...

knopiczka is very probably using a language translator which in most cases will come out with very unmeaningful sentences.
Just to make it absolutly clear about the menu template pictures I have uploaded further up. I just wanted to show that it is easy to produce someting when you have the tools for the job.
ConvertX has not been designed to allow the editing of templates at will and it would take an effort to modify what already exists, if it would be at all possible.
